Ooh La La Lets Get Naked with Coco De Mer Body Wash (DISCONTINUED)

UPDATE 2020: This brand no longer exists but the latest equivalent is Kind Natured also available in Boots, free from SLS/SLES, parabens, petrochemicals, silicone and microbeads, vegan and cruelty free.

My passion for natural skincare was triggered by a long period of unhappy, itchy and dry skin. The first lesson I learnt was SLS (Sodium Lauryl Sulphate) is a harsh detergent used as a degreaser and foaming agent. I read articles online that suggested SLS was an irritant to sensitive skin and could trigger contact dermatitis.

I can honestly say that my first try of SLS free shower gel changed my skin and I have never looked back. I was on longer experiencing constant itchy and dry, flaky patches. So over the years I have tried many natural and organic brands sold online but Naked Bodycare appealed to me as it's sold on the high street. It's not perfect for ingredients in comparison to others but there is a reduction in the ingredients which may trigger my eczema (based on personal experience). If you are on a budget I'm sure it may appeal.

My favourite Naked body wash is Ooh La La Coco De Mer. I use it with a konjac sponge and it creates a lovely rich creamy lather. I adore the smell. I am not great at describing scents but it is feminine and not overpowering. Naked describe this body wash as "an intoxicating fragrance blended with moisturising coconut derivatives and passion flower extract". Naked Bodycare is easily available as stocked in Boots.

Check out Naked Bodycare as they have a wide range of products all of which are made from 97% naturally derived ingredients without sulphates, parabens or petrochemicals, vegetarian and vegan friendly. Naked products do contain preservatives and their response to this is - "For us, it’s all about choice - about preferring to reduce our toxic load and use as many friendly ingredients as possible."

Have you tried Naked Bodycare? What did you think?
