Review Lulu & Boo Chamomile Cleansing Balm

Review: Lulu & Boo Chamomile Cleansing Balm
I hope no one is getting bored of my cleanser reviews? I aim to cater for all budgets but the main theme will always be suitability for sensitive skins. I am always testing one product at a time otherwise it is difficult to judge results plus my skin will have a hissy fit.

Lulo & Boo Organics sent me their Chamomile Organic Cleansing Balm to review. Let me introduce you to Lulu & Boo, an award winning organic skincare company with products that are free from SLS, parabens and synthetic fragrance and colours. The product lines include skincare, body care and mother & baby. Like so many of the natural brands I have reviewed, Lulu & Boo’s founder created the range after experiencing her own skin sensitivities.

I know product performance is important but I love the packaging. As you can see from my photo the labelling has a chic vintage feel and happily takes pride of place in the bathroom. The Chamomile Cleansing Balm is suitable for sensitive, dry, normal and mature skin types. The natural ingredients Chamomile and Calendula are used for their anti-inflammatory and soothing properties. These are ingredients that may benefit those of us who suffer from eczema, dermatitis, psoriasis and acne.

This cleanser has a beautiful light natural fragrance which I adore. I am not a fan of heavily scented products so this is perfect for me. If you like a zingy wake you up fragrance this isn't the cleanser for you but if you want relaxation and stress busting then it is perfect.

There are two ways to use this product, as a cleanser or as a nourishing mask. What a clever idea and think of the space you can save in the bathroom cabinet. This balm is a rich olive green colour with a buttery consistency. You apply onto dry skin and gently massaged. It instantly turns to a smooth silky oil when in contact with warm skin and feels luxurious. This balm is a pleasure to use and it is nice to take time with the product, enjoy the luxury and pamper your skin. I find it very easy to remove with a muslin cloth (not provided) which is perfect as some balm cleansers require effort to wash away. My skin is left feeling soft, smooth and pampered with no signs of irritation. If you are interested in how it removes make up I only wear foundation and the cleanser dissolved it with ease.

If you like cleansing balms rather than cream cleansers you are going to love this product. A 50ml jar is reasonably priced considering the quality organic ingredients. You'll only need to use a small amount of balm so the jar will last a number of months. Overall I highly recommend this cleanser.
