Sunday Catch Up (10)

Let me share with you a few things that have made me smile this week. The Easter weekend I spent with my parents.  Mum and I went shopping but it was a bit of a fail.  Mum had promised me a treat but I could not find clothes or shoes to fit (*insert sad face!*).  Instead I was treated to lunch at Wagamama my favourite place they are always so lovely about allergies.  I feel in love with some trinkets in Paperchase I could not resist Panda highlighters and a cute money box (he just makes me smile with his happy face who can resist).

One of my friends is expecting a baby girl any day now.  I think nappy cakes are a perfect gift (handy & cute).  I purchased the Giraffe Beanie cake (pictured above) via Ebay from a seller called Priceless Moments in Time (link).

You have probably figured out that my second passion in life is food (my first is beauty).  My boyfriend picked up Princes Baked Beans sandwich filling, slightly weird idea but I was intrigued.  I discovered a new variety of Hales & Hearty flapjacks.  These are date & chocolate flavour which are wheat free, gluten free and vegan and more importantly taste delicious (bad news for my waist line).  I have noticed coconut water is trending at the moment.  I see Vita Coco is the brand of choice for most but I picked up Icoco at Waitrose.  I could not resist the temptation of cherry vanilla.  One of my loves is Alfalfa Sprouts but they are so hard to get hold of.  Sometimes I spot them at Sainsburys but they sell out fast.  In my opinion they complete a salad sandwich.  Alfalfa sprouts are full of vitamins and nutrients (protein, calcium, carotene, iron, zinc and vitamins A, B1, C, E and K).

I purchased a couple of beauty products this week from Feelunique.  I am loving my Deep Steep body mist (review to come) so I ordered the Candy Mint Foot Stick.  First impressions are good and  the smell is delicious.  Sadly, the Ecotints mineral-tinted lip balm (Rose Quartz) is a disappointment.  It barely imparts any pigmentation on the lips, there is a subtle sheer shimmer but I feel a little mislead by the colour chart (link)

I think that sums up this week.  Hope you enjoyed this post and thanks for reading.  Leave a comment below if you wish :)
