Sunday Catch Up (22) - Vegan Cupcakes & Dairy Free Chocolate

Last weekend I create Vegan Pumpkin & Chocolate Chip cakes.  I've pictured them in 3 stages - uncooked, cooked and decorated.

I cheated with my buttercream frosting as Betty Crocker was on special offer.  It is free from dairy and very tasty.  Canned Pumpkin is available at Waitrose and No Moo Dairy Free Chocolate Drops are perfect for cooking with because they are smaller than buttons.

I am lacking beauty purchases this week but it was my Birthday so I was gifted some treats (Bodhi & Jo Malone).  Everything else I have to show you is food.  Yes, I am a piggy and yes I am getting fatty pants (but who cares!).

I won Mulu Raw Chocolate Buttons (dairy free).  These were okay but did not rock my world in the same way as the Humdinger ones.  I found Tesco Finest Plain Chocolate with Coconut and this has a "may contain milk" warning.  It was tasty and unlike Seed & Bean I could taste the coconut, hooray! I picked up Heinz Five Beanz after reading about them on Jessica's blog Cruelty Free Cottage. I enjoyed these and shall buy more.  The strange Sainsbury's choco-hazelnut squares were bland, a disappointment as they do not contain milk. The idea behind these is cereal on the go.

I hope everyone is enjoying their weekend, at last a bit of sunshine to cheer us all up.  I look forward to your comments.

  1. Glad you enjoyed the Five Beanz! Never tried the Betty Crocker icings as I have always made my own, but it's great that they are dairy-free! That Tesco chocolate looks nice might pick some up next time I'm there. Hope you had a great birthday :) xx

    1. I usually make my own icing but I couldn't resist the offer as it worked out cheaper than getting ingredients :)
