Review Bodhi Desert Rose Rejuvenating Face Oil

Bodhi Desert Rose Rejuvenating Face Oil
You all know I fell in love with Bodhi after I was given the opportunity to review Palmarosa Verde and Ylang-Ylang Incensa. I have gone on to purchase gifts for friends and my lovely Boyfriend surprised me (well I did hint!) with Mint Thé shower therapy for my birthday. I was honoured to be invited to the Bodhi Desert Rose Rejuvenating Face Oil launch. It was with a heavy heart that I declined the invite, full time job and blogger events are not a match made in heaven. Bodhi were kind enough to promise a sample and after Twitter had been buzzing about this product I could not wait to get my hands on it.

I must admit I was slightly apprehensive, roses are not my favourite scent so initially I gingerly applied the oil to the back of my hand and took a deep breath. Wow, now I know we all smell things differently but to me this has a beautiful fresh rose scent. I want to say freshly cut grass with a dash of fresh rain drenched roses. Bodhi describe the scent as “intoxicating citrus-honey floral”. It is a powerful and uplifting fragrance, that lingers.

Bodhi Desert Rose Rejuvenating Face Oil contains Bulgarian Damask Rose Otto, Organic Moroccan Argan Oil, Rosehip Seed Oil, Tunisian Neroli oil, Kukui Nut oil, Strawberry Seed Oil, Evening Primrose and Vitamin E.  This is marketed towards normal, dry, dehydrated, stressed, sensitive and mature skin which is pretty much how I describe myself.
Bodhi Desert Rose Rejuvenating Face Oil
As with all facial oils a little goes a long way. I describe this as dry oil you know the kind that sinks into skin without leaving any greasy residue or shine.  Any excess can be applied elsewhere. I sweep the product down and around my neck targeting eczema patches. The oil can be applied morning and evenings. I prefer using as a nightly treatment simply because I have more time to enjoy the application. This promises to hydrate and nourish skin, leave it cashmere soft and velvety smooth and give complexion an even toned and youthful appearance.  Do I agree with this? Absolutely spot on and how I see my skin in the morning.  It’s blooming amazing stuff.

I know what you are thinking, another positive review for a PR sample but believe me there is something about Bodhi that makes it very special. I really can't put my finger on it but you do get the sense that love and attention has gone into every product. Now remember we are talking quality ingredients (320 roses in a 30ml bottle) so this is going to come at a price. In all honesty I am not sure it is something I can afford on a regular basis, perhaps one for the Christmas list.
