Review: Terre d'Oc Gentle Face Scrub

I originally wrote this review as a Guest Post for another blog which no longer exists so I've recovered the article and re-published.

For those of you who do not know me I suffer from eczema and allergies. Many people think that sensitive skins should avoid exfoliating. Harsh products full of sharp particles are not ideal for any skin type, they can damage skin cells. On the other hand gentle exfoliation allows you to remove dead skin and surface impurities to leave skin refreshed and radiant. Even those with eczema should not shy away from exfoliating. You just need to use common sense and appropriate products.

Ingredients in skin care are very important to me and I believe in using natural products free from synthetic chemical ingredients. Keeping that in mind let me introduce you to the French brand, Terre d’Oc. Products are natural, organic and fair trade. Terre d’Oc has five collections in their range. I shall review the Gentle Face Scrub from the Coconut from Bali collection.

The scrub is made from combining coconut with bamboo powder. 98 % of the total ingredients are from natural origin and 70 % of the total ingredients are from organic farming. It has a creamy consistency with an exotic fragrance from sandalwood with a hint of sweetness. This exfoliator does not have traditional scrub particles, so there is no need to worry about damaging sensitive skin. It is not a smooth cream there is a grainy texture which I assume is from coconut flesh. You do have to put a certain amount of faith into the product that it is exfoliating the skin. I find the easiest way to remove the product is by using it in the shower or with a damp cloth. I do feel this leaves my skin feeling soft and never dry or sore from scrubbing.
