What's in my bin? - November Empties

Sugarpuffish What's in my bin? - November 2012 Empties

My last empties post proved very popular so I have remembered to stash my trash last month.  Here’s what I have used up.

Greenscents citrus washing up liquid (review link) - I have enjoyed using up this product even though the task of washing up is rather dull :)

Dr Organic Lavender Skin Lotion (review link) - You may have seen my recent review I have enjoyed using this lotion. I would happily repurchase once I have used up some other products.

Naked Heat Defender – finding free from heat defending products is difficult. This one is a compromise Naked is not 100% natural but it is free from some of the more well known and controversial ingredients. I started off liking this product but over time my hair started to feel dry so I discontinued use. I would not repurchase.

Giovanni 50/50 conditioner (review link) - This is my favourite conditioner. It lasts me for months as I need the smallest amount. I love how this works for my hair and I cannot fault it. I am currently finishing up my Louise Galvin conditioner but I will be repurchasing Giovanni when that runs out.

Miaroma 100% Pure Lavender Essential Oil – For years I have added lavender to water when washing my face. I normally buy Tisserand but picked this up in Holland & Barrett. I will not be repurchasing as I prefer the scent of Tisserand, now that might sound strange but Lavender fragrances do vary.

REN Hydra Calm Cleansing Milk – this is a 5ml sample and I enjoyed using it. I think “cleansing milk” is a bit misleading this was a rich cream. Overall it was very nice and I would considering purchasing a full size.

Dr Organic Pomegranate Cream - (review link) I adore this cream, this was my second jar and I am already on my third.  It works well with my skin type, leaves it moisturised and soft plus excellent budget price.

Green People Gentle Cleanse 10ml sample – I thoroughly enjoyed using this cleanser. It was rich, creamy and left my skin soft and cleansed. I would happily purchase a full size and highly recommend.

Funky Fresh Silk Veil Finisher (review link) - I finally used this one up since reviewing in April. I like the way it feels on my skin and the finish it gives. I will be repurchasing in the future and I highly recommend. Excellent value for money compared to other brands.

  1. I really want to try the Naked hair care range, it's a shame the heat spray didn't work out for you. x

    1. I'm almost certain it was drying my hair as it feels better now I have switched product. It could be worth a try it's inexpensive so I wasn't bothered if I didn't like it :)

  2. Thanks for the tip about adding Lavender to water when washing your face, this sounds lovely, I love Lavender! I would like to try out a Green People cleanser and REN is becoming a favourite of mine at the moment. I tried the Naked Shampoo and it didn't seem to do much for my hair (felt a bit greasy)

    1. I think that tip came from a Dr Hauschka magazine years ago and I've been doing it ever since. It's antibacterial and helpful to sensitive skin. I don't get on with Naked Shampoos makes my scalp itch. I've been using for many months and liking Organic Surge shampoo the moisture boost.

    1. I'm so pleased you find new brands via my blog. That Giovanni conditioner is spot on perfect for my hair. That was the 2nd bottle I've brought this year so very economical (I do have short hair).

    1. As far as I am aware they are only sold in the UK & the range is exclusive to a chain of health food stores we have here (Holland & Barrett)

  5. I had the exact same problem with the Naked Heat Defender - loved it to start with, but after continued use for over a month, it started to make my hair so dry and straw like that I had to stop using it :(

    1. That's interesting you felt the same as me about the Naked spray. I've just purchased a one from Giovanni so I will let you know in time how that goes.
