Desert Essence Spicy Vanilla Chai Body Wash

Desert Essence Spicy Vanilla Chai Body Wash

Desert Essence is another brand from across the pond. Products are available in the UK and I purchased mine through skinnutrition.co.uk. I also spotted some of the range in a local independent health food store. Products are 100% Vegan, Organic, Cruelty free, biodegradable, free from Gluten & Wheat, parabens, SLS/SLES, phosphates, phthalates, artificial colours & fragrances, silicones, EDTA, glycol or petroleum based ingredients.

The line includes skincare, body & bath care, oils, hair care, dental and baby products in a variety of fragrances. I decided to try Spicy Vanilla Chai Body Wash. If you like Chai Tea I think you are going to enjoy this scent. My only (one) experience of chai tea was at Starbucks (love the scent but hate the taste) and this does remind me of the fragrance. The wash creates a lovely lather and gets you squeaky clean. I would be slightly cautious over eczema because when I had a patch a few weeks back, I felt like this shower gel may have caused a little irritation. Patch testing is always advisable as essential oils and natural ingredients can still cause allergic reactions. If you are super sensitive there is a Fragrance Free range of products.

Here are the full ingredients for this body wash - Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice*, Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract (Black Tea)*, Coco-Glucoside (Coconut/Sugar), Sodium Coco-Sulfate (Coconut), Lauryl Glucoside (Coconut/Sugar), Decyl Glucoside (Coconut/ Sugar), Leuconostoc/Radish Root Ferment Filtrate, Sodium Chloride, Glycerin (Palm)*, Natural Fragrance/ Flavor (Parfum/Aroma), Vanilla Planifolia Fruit Extract (Vanilla)*, Trifolium Pratense (Clover) Flower Extract*, Yucca Brevifolia Root Extract (Yucca Cactus)*, Symphytum Officinale Leaf Extract (Comfrey*), Urtica Dioica (Nettle) Leaf Extract *, Macrocystis Pyrifera Extract (Sea Kelp)*, Salix Alba (Willow) Bark Extract*, Citric Acid, Potassium Sorbate * Certified Organic

As you know I have been using Organic Surge shower gels. The Desert Essence does cost more (£7.99 for 237ml) but they are free from ALS (Ammonium Lauryl Sulfate) unlike Organic Surge. I would definitely like to try more products from this brand and recommend you take a look.

Have you tried any products from Desert Essence?
