Review: Giovanni 2 Chic Ultra-Sleek Flat Iron Styling Mist

Giovanni 2 Chic Ultra-Sleek Flat Iron Styling Mist
I have been on the search for a free from or 100% natural heat protecting spray for what seems like an eternity. I love my hair straighteners and I won't give them up but I need to protect my hair. I've tried many non natural salon brands and KMS was always the one I went back to. I did end up switching to Naked Heat Defender but I felt it dried out my hair so it ended up in the bin (also I have my doubts about how natural Naked claim to be). That leads me onto my next purchase, Giovanni 2 Chic Ultra-Sleek Flat Iron Styling Mist. Giovanni 50/50 conditioner has been a firm favourite throughout 2012 so it made sense to look at other products in the range.

The ingredients for this spray are good, it's a Moroccan oil with no parabens, petrochemicals or silicones. It does contain Phenoxyethanol if you are choosing to avoid this ingredient. The Keratin is plant based so suitable for Vegans.

The spray nozzle does create a fine mist which makes it easy to distribute evenly. The scent is pleasant, not too overpowering. I have fine hair and can use a good amount of this without it leaving my hair greasy or weighed down. One thing I am sure about is I prefer this product to the Naked Heat Defender however, I'd like to try the Desert Essence Coconut Hair Defrizzer & Heat Protector and see how it compares to Giovanni.

You can purchase Giovanni products from **Lucyrose and **iherb.comHave you tried this product? Is it a hit or miss for your hair?

  3. I have just used the last of my heat protector and need a new one now. I might give this one a try, it sounds really good. I do also fancy trying the Dessert Essence Coconut one too though...decisions.

  4. I also use this and like it--I have very fine, thin hair so this is perfect for me. Giovanni is one of my favorite brands!
