Sweet Cecily's Natural Skincare
I often waste numerous hours searching Google. I love it
when you go off on a tangent and up pops a company that sparks your interest. This is how I discovered SweetCecily’s. I bookmarked the site, followed on Twitter and thought I’ll come back
another day when I am looking for new skin care to try. Lucky for me Sweet
Cecily’s spotted their new follower and offered to send a couple of samples,
let’s be honest I am not about to refuse. I was sent Almond & Avocado Face Cream and Piña Colada Lip Balm.
Sweet Cecily’s was started in 2010 by Cecily Fearnley. Products are formulated without synthetic ingredients and cruelty free. What I find interesting is that “each product was born out of a customer suggestion”. The range consists of products for hands, body and face, plus dedicated products for sensitive skin. Some of the products do contain Phenoxyethanol. If that is something you wish to avoid, it is easy to check, Cecily’s website gives full ingredient lists.

Let’s start with the face cream. It’s a nice texture, not
too thin or thick and sinks in after a few minutes. My skin seems to like it
and the ingredients are very simple making it ideal for sensitive beauties. It contains almond oil, avocado oil and shea butter. If you are a lip balm junkie you need to check out Cecily’s
range. How does strawberry & cream, banoffee, mojito, mango & lime,
chocolate, piña colada and earl grey tea sound to you? As I mentioned I have been
testing piña colada which is my favourite holiday cocktail. This balm
comes in a small tin with screw top lid. It’s a solid balm which melts with
contact with warm skin. The ingredients are ideal for dry lips – shea
butter, cocoa butter, almond oil, calendula and natural fragrance. Unfortunately, they are not suitable for Vegans as they do contain beeswax.
