Review: Antipodes Ananda Antioxidant Rich Gentle Toner

Antipodes Ananda Antioxidant Rich Gentle Toner
As you know, it took me a reasonable length of time to find a natural toner which I wanted to repurchase. It was the Antipodes Resurrect toner that eventually stole my heart. You are probably all familiar with the brand as I am seeing it gain popularity. Antipodes is from New Zealand and has a good natural ingredients policy so that is why I enjoy their products. I have been through two bottles of Resurrect toner and intended to buy another until I spotted Ananda in the January sales.

The Ananda toner is described as suited to irritated, sensitive and sun-damaged skin. It contains Waiwera spring water, raspberry seed, aloe vera, marshmallow, mamaku black fern and Bulgarian rose oil. The full ingredients listing is - Aqua (Waiwera Artesian Water), aloe barbadensis (aloe vera leaf)*, cyathea medullaris (mamaku extract), gluconolactone, sodium benzoate, dehydroacetic acid, benzyl alcohol, bisobolol, althaea officinalis (marshmallow extract), rubus idaeus (raspberry extract), rosa damasca (Bulgarian rose oil)* (*Certified organic ingredient)

The fragrance is beautiful and soft. I do not notice a big aroma of roses but I am fine with that as roses are not a scent I enjoy. As for my skin, this always feels refreshing and I am convinced it has worked some magic. I feel as if my skin is soothed and not stressed. I have noticed fewer pimples but that may just be a coincidence.

Ananda does cost a few more pounds (£20.99) than Resurrect (£18.50). It is not often I will spend £20 on one product as I know there are good cheaper alternatives out there. However, there is something about Antipodes that makes me hand over my credit card.

What products have you tried from Antipodes? My other love is the Rejoice day cream.
