Emotional Rollercoaster

Picture via Google Images link

This week has been an emotional rollercoaster and my blogging bubble has burst. This isn't a sympathy post but more about explaining why I have temporarily lost my blogging mojo.

It's a complex situation that unfolded this week. I received an email which made some horrid accusations against me and apparently this information was given to the writer by another Blogger. I'm not entirely sure if I should believe what has been written. The source of the information is a disgruntled person who, shall we say, got the hump with me because I said, in a private message, the samples they sent were "not to my taste". That's all I said, no more, no less. I then received a couple of hateful messages which I chose to ignore and delete. All in all it's a horrid experience which I hope never to encounter again.

Please remember that not everyone on the internet has good intentions, some will deliberately set out to hurt you. Spreading malicious gossip is a form of bullying and trying to ruin someone's reputation is slander. You are not a nice person if you live your life like this. I hope Karma comes and bites you on the arse!

A huge thank you to all of you who gave me amazing support & advice this week, you know who you are x

  1. I am sorry you've had such a rotten time Sarah. I am new to blogging and can't imagine how horrible it would be receive that kind of bullying. From what I've seen of your posts and videos, you seem like a lovely person and I hope that this experience doesn't put you off blogging for long. You have such a lot to offer and are one of the bloggers who are a real inspiration to me. Like all bullies, the person who upset you isn't worth one of your tears or a moment of your pain. You go girl! Annie xxx

    1. Thank you for your kind words, I've been blogging for over 2 years now & this is the first incident of this nature, so not bad going. I will not give in to the haters. I just need to take a few days out to get back into the swing of things :)

  2. So shocked to hear this Sarah. You hear about these things happening, but it's still awful when they do. You're such a kind and supportive blogger and in no way deserve this. If you get any more messages you should keep and report them for being the trolls that they are (even if it's a company, in fact all the more so). Hope to see you back to yourself very soon! xx

  7. Like I said to you on Twitter the other day, you are way beyond this kind of nonsense. You are a much better person that what the 'source' will ever be! Don't let this get you down - you are an amazing blogger and an incredibly lovely person and never forget that. No words anyone says or writes can ever change that! Take it easy and here's hoping you get back into the full swing of things soon! :-)

  8. That you say what you think - including saying what you do not like - is a strength of yours, and is not as common as it perhaps should be in blogger-world. Keep it up! :)

    1. Saying what I don't like lands me in trouble but I refuse to change if you met me in person I speak my mind :)

  10. Wow..It makes you wonder where people like that get off?! A great beauty blogger is one who is honest and has an opinion about products (be it that they like them or they dislike them) that's the risk companies take when they send samples to us....that's the whole point!! I love reading your posts and find them very informative and inspiring! Keep up the great work and stick to your guns! :-) x
