Pure Thoughts Kukui & Shea Butter Lip Balm

I have observed other bloggers grow to like Pure Thoughts as much as I do and it is nice to see. Sometimes, I get distracted by searching for new products that I neglect brands that I have known and loved for quite some time. I was very happy to receive a gift basket for Christmas, full of Pure Thoughts soaps, lip balm and my favourite Lavender & Jojoba whipped shea body butter.

On Christmas day, I delved into the basket and immediately started using the Kukui & Shea Butter Lip Balm. I had been suffering from a weird dry and flakey patch on my bottom lip. Many of you know, I am passionate about ditching petroleum/mineral oil from skincare. My biggest pet peeve is people who are still using those awful cheap high street balms and then wonder why they still have dry lips. If you would like to know why I hate petroleum click here to read a previous blog post.

This lip balm from Pure Thoughts contains 100% natural ingredients (Shea Butter, Sweet Almond Oil, Beeswax, Cocoa Butter, Olive Oil, Macadamia Oil, Kukui Nut Oil), that pack a punch and do a good job at healing. It is not flavoured or scented but that does not bother me. It could also be applied to any dry skin patches not just the lips.

So does it work? Silly question really, of course it does. Between exfoliating with a rough towel (my Mum’s tip), applying the balm and patience, I managed to restore my lip to its former glory. If you don't already own Pure Thoughts products, then I urge you to visit the website, fill your virtual shopping basket, empty your paypal account and await the arrival of your goodies. Whilst you are there why not treat yourself to a lip balm, it will be the best £3.95 you ever spent ;-)

  3. This sounds lovely. I hate petroleum based lip balms too and I've managed to get my whole family using eos balms instead of vaseline yay!

  4. This sounds really lovely. I tend to be massively fussy about lip balms, in fact I only ever use two brands right now, I could be tempted by this one though!

    1. It's a really nice neutral balm, if that makes sense, nothing about it to offend the taste buds and multipurpose :-)
