Circaroma Soothing Facial Cleansing Balm with English Chamomile and Kunzea

Circaroma Soothing Facial Cleansing Balm
I have had my eye on Circaroma for a long time as their Skin Gentle Facial Cleansing Drops won Bronze in the FreeFrom Skincare Awards 2013. I like experimenting with cleansers so I bought the Soothing Facial Cleansing Balm with English Chamomile and Kunzea. Circaroma have three ranges of product for different skin types – Balancing (oily skin), Soothing (dry skin) and Gentle (sensitive skin). Each range offers a skincare routine with toners, moisturisers, masks and exfoliators. The Balancing cleanser is a lotion but the Soothing and Gentle are balms.

The Circaroma Soothing cleansing balm transforms into oil on contact with skin but it initially has a very soft buttery texture which is easy to massage. I only need to use a small amount which means my jar is great value for money. It took me a couple of cleanses to figure out how little balm I needed to use. I find that if I am heavy handed, I am left with a residue on the skin which doesn't suit my personal taste. Of course any excess can be removed with a swipe of toner. The fragrance is soft and gentle which I enjoy as it does not over power my senses. I am comfortable in the knowledge that this cleansing balm easily removes my foundation simply by looking at my grubby muslin cloth. For the purpose of reviewing, I always swipe over with a damp cotton pad to see what is left behind. I am happy to report the pad always has minimal traces of foundation and that is probably more to do with my error since I am terrible at missing patches on my neck when cleansing.

My one criticism is I would like to see full ingredients listed on the website. For point of reference they are - Prunus amygdalus (almond oil) butyropsermum parkii (shea butter) simmondsia sinensis (jojoba oil) cera alba (beeswax) anthemis nobilis (chamomile) lavandula angustifolia (lavender) kunzea ambigua (kunzea) tocopherol (vit e.)

Since drafting this post, Amber has reviewed some Circaroma products and she speaks highly of them. Overall, I am very happy to recommend the Soothing Facial Cleansing Balm and would buy again.

Have you tried any products from Circaroma? Did you enjoy using them?
