Review: Andalou Naturals 1000 Roses Pearl Exfoliator

Review: Andalou Naturals 1000 Roses Pearl Exfoliator
If you read my sample stash blog post you’ll have seen me mention Andalou NaturalsThe sachets of 1000 Roses Day Cream & Night Cream made a good first impression on me and I decided I’d like to try some more products. This coincided with a trip to Whole Foods where I was able to take a closer look at the range and I ended up buying the 1000 Roses Pearl Exfoliator.

Andalou Naturals is a US free from and cruelty free brand with some vegan suitable products in the range (the exfoliator is vegan). The 1000 Roses line is marketed towards sensitive/delicate and dry skin. I am always a little hesitant of rose scent but Andalou have it spot on, it is delicate and doesn’t overpower the product, in fact at times I hardly notice it which suits me just perfectly.

If memory serves me correctly, the pearl exfoliator is similar to Pai. It is a gel like consistency with very small and non scratchy beads. My dermatitis will not allow me to tolerate any harshness which is why I shy away from facial scrubs and mainly rely on cloths for gentle exfoliation. However, I have no concerns from using this product. My skin always feels soft and refreshed after use with no visible sign of irritation. For me this is the perfect pick me up when my skin looks a little “grey”.

Exfoliating is a nice step in a skincare routine but remember not to over do the process. You have to treat your skin kindly and I think the Andalou Pearl Exfoliator is perfect. Some people may like the feeling you get from a very gritty scrub but it's not for me.

Have you tried any products from Andalou Naturals? Any recommendations what I should buy next?
