Review Green Keratin Trio - Facial Cream, Serum and Oil

Review Green Keratin Vegan Skincare facial cream oil elixir facial serum

Lets start 2016 with a review of a brand I have frequently mentioned last year. I've had the pleasure of exploring Green Keratin's product range and I am impressed with everything I have tried. For several months I have been using a combination of three products – Hyaluronic C Perfecting Facial Cream, Rosaforte C Magnificent Facial Elixir and Anti Oxidant Boost Facial Serum.

Hyaluronic C Perfecting Facial Cream
This is a light moisturiser but I am still finding it suitable for my dry skin. My skin absorbs this cream quickly so it sits well under makeup and suitable for daily use. The ingredients are vegan and natural but I guess the main buzz word in this product is Hyaluronic Acid. The reason everyone loves Hyaluronic Acid is because of its ability to retain moisture. It is said to improve the skin’s appearance helping with moisture content and strengthening the barrier. Hyaluronic Acid is a popular ingredient in products aimed at mature skin. Whilst it might sound scary it is naturally present in our bodies.

Rosaforte C Magnificent Facial Elixir
Rosehip and Sea Buckthorn are some of my favourite ingredients so it’s no surprise that I enjoy using this Facial Elixir. The scent is fruity and it has a light feel which sinks into my skin beautifully. The Rosaforte oil is suitable for use morning and evening, on its own or layer under moisturiser.

Anti Oxidant Boost Facial Serum
I like to use this serum alone or under a moisturiser to give my skin a boost (as the name suggests!). This serum is a light cream texture but packed full of great ingredients – Vitamin A, E & C, Hyaluronic Acid, Green, Rooibos and White Tea.

For those that are clued up on ingredients, you’ll probably have questions about the Vitamin C in these products. Vitamin C is known to play a role in collagen production but it can be difficult to deliver in a stable form which is non-irritating and effective. Green Keratin use Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate which I understand is a new derivative of Vitamin C considered gentle and stable. The Facial Elixir oil contains soluble Vitamin C Ester Tetrahexyldecyl Ascorbate. It's worth doing your own research because I can only speak from experience of using products as I do not have a scientific or formulating background.

I am impressed with my three Green Keratin products. They work well individually or together in my daily routine. I also like that ingredients are suitable for Vegans and I know that will appeal to many of you. I definitely feel as if Green Keratin is a brand to watch over 2016 and I would encourage you all to explore their product line.
