Review: Pacifica Aquarian Gaze Water Resistant Long Lash Mascara

Review Pacifica Aquarian Gaze Water Resistant Long Lash Mascara Abyss Black Vegan
The quest for a wedding day mascara continued after initially testing Natorigin and Avril neither of which I was happy with. I realised that water resistant mascara could be the way forward because my biggest complaint with the other two was smudging. I decided to buy Pacifica Aquarian Gaze water resistant mascara in Abyss/Black (also available in Deep Blue). Now Pacifica is a Vegan brand but their Green credentials are questionable. It certainly is a compromise to mainstream and I am no way claiming the ingredients to be perfect you are likely to find better out there.

I like the Pacifica Aquarian Gaze mascara a lot. It doesn't smudge or flake and feels very natural. I wasn't looking for a fake lash effect, I just want to boost what I already have and lift my lashes. To give them a little tweak but still feel like myself (I do hope that make sense!). The wand is rubber, flexible and a good size. The formula is on the dry side but I don’t find this a problem. I have been very impressed with performance and have even started to wear regularly. This is something considered the last time I was using mascara was probably in my teens. I do have to be careful with removal as my eye area is prone to eczema but the mascara itself isn't causing me any noticeable issues.

I have decided to stick with this Pacifica mascara for my big day after that I would be unlikely to repurchase. I'm more than happy to use on special occasions but in my heart I'm a no makeup girlie and it is my wedding that has been driving force behind these types of purchases. The ingredients would concern me over time but if you are not as fussy I’d suggest giving this one a try. I purchase from Lucy Rose** for £15.49.

Have you tried a Pacifica mascara or any other products from their range?

  1. I haven't tried their makeup and the stuff I have tried some I like some I didn't. I totally get what you mean when you say you want to feel like yourself on your wedding. Before my wedding I read somewhere that on your wedding day you should look like you but the most beautiful you. Always make sure you feel like yourself. I thought that really summed it up so perfectly.

    1. That's a great saying and certainly what I am trying to achieve for myself, one of the reasons I'm doing my own makeup so I can have control :D

  2. I liked their normal one, I found it to be really good. I've ordered their liquid eyeliner from iHerb which arrived today so I'm looking forward to trying that!

  3. Arg, your eczema sounds like such a pain if it even affects your eye area. Glad you found something that works for your big day. :)
