Review Green Keratin Precious Cacay Hydrating Face Cleanser

Review Green Keratin Precious Cacay Hydrating Face Cleanser

I have previously mentioned that Green Keratin launched their Precious Cacay range. The cleanser, face cream and elixir are formulated around Cacay seed oil (Caryodendron orinocense) which is the new buzz word in beauty. Cacay (pronounced kahk-ai) is from an Amazon tree that produces a seed from which the oil is extracted. It has 3 times more Vitamin A (aka retinol) than rosehip, 50% more Vitamin E and twice the amount of Linoleic Acid than Argan oil plus anti-aging, skin nourishing and rejuvenating properties.

So what did I think of the Precious Cacay Hydrating Face Cleanser? Well, I would describe this as a milky cleanser and I must admit I do prefer something heavier and creamy. Aside from this I was very happy using it and was comfortable that it removed my makeup effectively (when in doubt I double cleanse). I enjoyed removing the cleanser with a warm damp flannel and it doesn’t leave behind a residue. I can’t say that the Cacay seed made any difference compared to other cleansers but I was left with soft and hydrated skin, which in all honesty is all I want from my skincare routine. If I am left feeling like I do not need to apply a moisturiser then all is good in my world.

Green Keratin is a vegan British brand and I rarely hear anyone chatting about them and that’s a shame. I highly recommend having a browse of their website. I haven’t been disappointed with a product so far, they might not all match my personal taste but I’m enough of a skincare junkie to judge the value of a product and how it performs.

Have you tried Green Keratin? Any stand out products you’d recommend?
