Review Evolve Organic Beauty Daily Defence Moisture Mist

Review Evolve Organic Beauty Daily Defence Moisture Mist
I love toners as a step in my skincare routine but it’s difficult to find ones without linalool. For a long time I’ve used manuka floral water but when Evolve Organic Beauty launched their Daily Defence Moisture Mist it sparked an interest. You’ll know from past articles and my social media that I already have firm favourites within Evolve’s range - the Nourishing Hair Elixir and Daily Renew Face Cream. I find it very difficult to be anything but complimentary towards them as their products work so well for me. After receiving samples for our Gorgeously Green event last year I have gone on to purchase a number of times.

So let’s focus on this new launch. The Daily Defence Moisture Mist is a really interesting formulation with key ingredients of moringa peptides, prickly pear and hyaluronic acid. I’ll be honest the scent has taken some getting used to as it doesn’t quite suit my tastes but the performance of the product outshines this little problem. If you often dislike toners because they leave you with a feeling of tight skin then I think this mist is the perfect product for you. It’s my understanding that hyaluronic acid is a humectant which means it draws water to the skin and helps prevent moisture loss. That’s music to my ears as someone with eczema prone skin. I am naturally lacking the ability to retain hydration. Prickly Pear also nourishes and soothes so that’s an ingredient that appeals because of my sensitive and sometimes irritated skin. Tap water can leave my skin feeling parched so it’s why I rarely use cleansers that require splashing water across my face. The daily defence mist gives the sensation that I'm putting moisture back into my skin and prepares it for whatever I use next be it creams or oils. Over time I think this extra step offers some improvement in the condition of my skin and it feels fresh not tight from dryness.

I honestly can’t fault this new Daily Defence Mist from Evolve. It looks like they have done it again and created another product which I’m going to find hard to not replace when it runs out. In other news Evolve's Hyaluronic Acid 200 has been shortlisted in the Free From Skincare Awards. I've an unopened bottle in my bathroom waiting to be opened but I've been trying to finish up other products first.

Have you tried any skincare from Evolve Organic Beauty? What's your favourite
