Alba Botanica TerraGloss (DISCONTINUED)

Over the weekend I received an order I had place with There Must Be A Better Way. This website was a new find and I have been impressed with the service and I adore the fact that you can select ten samples with your order. The main reason for my order was to purchase Alba TerraGloss Tinted Lip Gloss in the colour Bloom. These lip glosses are free from artificial colours, petrolatum, mineral oil, phthalates and parabens. They contain shea butter and vitamin E to soothe and moisturise. I am in love with this gloss. The pigmentation is great and it is not sticky (as long as you do not overload the product). My lips feel lovely and soft after it wears off. I am undecided about the vanilla flavour, it is a bit sweet but I can put up with it. I paid £3.99 which I think is reasonable compared to other chemical free make up brands. There are five other colours in the range to check them out.

Here are the samples I selected and received -

Organic Blue Shampoo
Aubrey Organics Rosa Mosqueta Nourishing Rose Hip Herbal Shampoo
Green People Help at Hand
Green People Gentle Cleanse
Lavera Basis Sensitive Organics Q10 hand cream
Aubrey Organics Creme de la Shave (Toasted Almond)
Lavera Faces Wild Rose Eye Gel
Lavera Aloe Vera Protection Cream
Madara Deep Moisture Cream

I have already tried a few, obviously these samples but I am tempted to seek out larger sizes on my first impressions. The Green People hand cream was a little heavy for me but I think it would be better in the winter months when my skin is at its driest. I can see it would work well for eczema skins and I note it is a 2010 beauty award winner. The Green People cleanser was nice and left my skin soft but I personally did not like the scent. The Lavera eye gel, I would say it was a cream rather than a gel, it felt fresh and light on my skin. My favourite samples were the Aubrey shave cream and Madara cream. My legs felt fabulous after using the shave cream very silky smooth and soft, that has definitely made it onto my shopping list after just one use. I adore Madara products I have tried them out before the only reason I do not buy more of them is the price, for example this moisturiser will cost £24 for 50ml.

Has anyone else tried the Alba Lip Glosses or the products in my sample collection? What did you think? Any recommendations for me?

THANK YOU to all my new followers that have found me via blog hops over the weekend. Also I have signed up to Twitter if anyone wishes to follow, I’m still learning the ropes so be patience with me.
