Review Naked Skin The Perfect Getaway Cream Cleanser

Review: Naked Skin The Perfect Getaway Cream Cleanser

A few weeks ago I bought Naked Skin Perfect Getaway Cream Cleanser when it was on special offer at Superdrug. Naked is a brand you should be familiar with since I have blogged about the Ooh La La body wash. As I love the body wash, I had high hopes for the cleanser but sadly I was left feeling a little disappointed.

There is nothing terrible about this cleanser instead I would describe it as average. I think it would probably be ideal for a teenager rather than mature skin (yuck I do hate that but I guess I fall into that category now!). The cleanser is a milky lotion containing ginseng, aloe vera and cocoa butter but it does have a rather odd fragrance which I do not like. It is suggested to apply to cotton wool and glide over face and then follow with a toner. Personally, this method never works for me so I smoothed it over my face and used a damp muslin cloth to remove. I have no complaints with how my skin felt afterwards, it was soft and not tight but I never felt my make up was completely removed. I admit that following with a toner may have helped but I personally never use a toner I don't like them.

There is a complete Naked Skin face range so you can compliment the cleanser with a toner, eye makeup remover and moisturiser. I spotted on their website a softening face wash which contains Damask Rose and this is often promoted as an ingredient ideal for mature skin. I think if you are on a really tight budget this is a great introduction to natural products on the high street. The creamy cleanser retails online and at Superdrug for £4.49 (200ml bottle). Naked products are free from sulphates, parabens, petrochemicals and silicone.
