Review - Naturally Beautiful Cleanser - Bespoke Skincare

Danielle Jordan Terry, the owner of Naturally Beautiful asked me if I would like to try a handmade cleanser. I accepted the offer after learning some more about her business. Danielle is offering a unique bespoke service to clients by tailoring making skincare to their specific requirements. Her products are natural, organic and free from harsh synthetic ingredients.

Danielle’s interest in natural skincare started from an early age and was influenced by her Father’s career in industrial factories.  At 16 she decided to train as a Beauty Therapist and her first job was at a Holistic Centre where she worked her way up to Head Therapist.  She now has a family and works for More Magazine.  Alongside this she reignited the spark for making her own skincare and decided to set up a business working from home and offering online consultations.  In between all this she is managed to squeeze in studying for a degree in Skincare Formulation.

When I accepted the offer to review a cleanser I was sent a simple online questionnaire.  It only took a few minutes to complete.  I was asked to describe my skin condition, if I had any skin concerns and what I wanted to achieve from my skin care products.  The more information you can provide the better it is for Danielle to formulate the appropriate products.  A few days later I received my cleanser and a letter explaining how to use the product, what ingredients went into the cleanser and why those ingredients were chosen for me.

I was sent an oil cleanser which I was very excited about after the success I had with the one from Handmade Naturals. The ingredients are exactly the type I go for when choosing skincare - Jojoba Oil, Rose water, Lavender and Geranium.  I personally find that the best method for me when it comes to removing cleanser is to use a muslin cloth.  Hot cloth cleansing gives the best results and it is the same for this cleanser.   My one criticism of the current packaging is I think a spray or pump top to the bottle would be useful in order to control dispensing the oil.  Danielle and I have discussed this and she is looking into changing her packaging.

Naturally Beautiful is a fledgling business. You won’t find fancy packaging or sophisticated labelling, simply products that have been handmade with love and attention to details.  Naturally Beautiful is there to help you every step of the way with bespoke products and I highly recommend the service being offered. I can see it being particularly attractive to people with skin concerns.
