Review Louise Galvin Conditioner

The other weekend I had an hour long rummage in TK Maxx.  It is always a bit hit and miss what you may discover.  On this occasion I did find plenty of free from products and even put a couple back on the shelf for the sake of over spending.

I had previously seen Louise Galvin hair care but the bottles were always tampered with or I simply was not tempted by the price.  When I saw the  Mother To Be conditioner in the clearance section for £2 it went into my basket.  Okay so I have not lost the plot. I may not be a Mother to Be (nor do I intend to be one) but this product appealed to me because it has been formulated with sensitivities in mind.  Pregnancy does strange things to our bodies (or so I'm told) and Louise Galvin created this product from her own experiences during pregnancy.  Since I am queen of allergies I naturally thought this product would be ideal for me.

The Mothers To Be conditioner is fragrance free as pregnant women can be sensitive to smells but this also makes it ideal for allergy sufferers.  During pregnancy you can suffer from loss of natural lustre to hair and this conditioner contains Ximenia Oil (also known as Seaside Plum) to help restore the condition.   In my mind this could be particularly helpful to dry and damaged hair such as my own.

I fell in love with this conditioner from the first application. It is not a thin conditioner so you only require a small amount. This instantly made my hair silky during the washing and rinsing process.  After heat styling my hair remains soft, tangle free and glossy. My problem areas for irritation are the neck and scalp but I have not experienced a reaction whilst using this product. I have religiously been using Giovanni 50/50 but it is very close when judging Louise Galvin against it.  Possibly, maybe Louise Galvin is marginally better, honestly I can’t decide. I think it is fair to say I love them both.

Louise Galvin products are a luxury brand and this conditioner retails for £24. If you see it in TK Maxx grabbed yourself a bargain. If you have sensitivities or dry and damaged hair I do not think you will be disappointed.
