Review: NovExpert Essentiel Comfort Cream

Up until recently the French skincare brands I have been introduced to do not live up to my standards when it comes to ingredients (La Roche Posay, Corine de Farme, Yves Rocher). Then I discovered NovExpert Essentiel in TK Maxx. I unearthed this little beauty in the clearance section. For £5 I brought Comfort Cream with Blackcurrant Leaf and Shea Butter for Dry Skin.

I was attracted to this product for the impressive “clean” list on the side of the box.  The formula is 100% of natural origin, cruelty free, Ecocert and packaging is certified by FSC.  The product is free from silicon, mineral oil, propylene glycol, PEG, phthalates, BHT-BHA, EDTA, paraben, phenoxyethonal, triclosan, dehydroacetic acid, potassium sorbate and sorbic acid.

Let’s talk about the cream because I love it.  It has a beautiful fruity fragrance with a creamy texture which my skin absorbs easily but it is definitely suited to dry skins like my own.  It’s hard to described I can tell this is a thicker cream but it does not feel heavy. A little goes a long way and my skin feels soft and smooth with no visible signs of flaky skin.  The ultimate test for the cream would be during the winter but I do feel confident it would work for me.

The downside to finding something you love in TK Maxx is trying to track it down again. If you are hoping over to France any time soon I would recommend keeping an eye out for this brand.  I would love to try more from the line however I check out their website and products do look different, this probably explains why I found them in TK Maxx.
