Review Desert Essence Coconut Shampoo & Conditioner

Desert Essence Coconut Shampoo & Conditioner
I finally got my hands on the much talked about Desert Essence Coconut shampoo and conditioner. I won't bore you again with my hair care woes but switching out to natural shampoo has not been easy. I have to avoid citrus fruit and 100% natural does nothing for my hair. I end up with a bird nest mop which drives me crazy. I've made the decision to use haircare which is free from the more well known synthetic ingredients.

I am going to start my review talking about the fragrance. Did you know that the aroma you associate with coconut is artificial? That's why some natural coconut based products don't have that familiar coconutty scent (e.g. Balm Balm & Essential Care cleansers). For me food scents rock my world, especially coconut, mango and vanilla. Straight off I know these products have an added fragrance as it reminds me of Pina Colada cocktails, sugary and sweet.

The coconut range is aimed at dry, damaged and frizzy haired folk. I was a little bit sceptical because I face an up hill battle in that my hair falls into three categories - Dry, Coloured and Fine. I'm a complete nightmare, it's impossible to address that from one bottle. Anyway, this shampoo and conditioner are fantastic. The shampoo lathers up and I find I only need a small amount. It rinses out easily and my hair is left squeaky clean. I also think the conditioner is perfect for me. I like that it moisturises but does not leave my hair weighed down. I may even go as far as to say that Desert Essence hair care is delivering marginally better results than my favourite Organic Surge Moisture Boost.

I can over look a few ingredients as long as my scalp does not itch and my hair feels clean. I am able to buy Desert Essence at a local health food store. I paid £8.99 each for the shampoo and conditioner. I noticed from a label on the bottles that products are distributed by Wisdom of Nature Ltd and they have an online shop

Let me know if you have tried any Desert Essence products or your thoughts on ingredients. In case you missed it I have also reviewed their Spicy Vanilla Chai Body Wash.
