Orchard View Naturals Organic Facial Oils - Infused Marigold

Orchard View Naturals Organic Facial Oils - Infused Marigold
If you enjoy using facial oils then you should be looking at Orchard View Naturals. The range consists of Infused Marigold, Orange Blossom, Rose Geranium, Tea Tree and Triple Rose, each one targets different skin types and issues. Products are made in the UK, Vegan & Cruelty Free, 100% natural and 99.5% certified organic ingredients.

I bought a 10ml bottle of the Infused Marigold which is suitable for sensitive skin. This oil contains no essential oils but has a natural nutty aroma. The ingredients are a blend of Organic Calendula (Infused Marigold), Organic Jojoba, Organic Apricot Kernel oil, Organic Avocado oil, Organic Rosehip & 100% natural antioxidant Vitamin E. If you are wondering what is Infused Marigold? Infusing is a method in which you soak a flower or herb in liquid to extract the healing properties. All these ingredients are beneficial for skin but the Marigold (Calendula Officinalis) is the key to making it more suitable for sensitive skin as it should help calm irritation and inflammation.

Thumbs up for OV Naturals bottling in dark glass, not only is it pretty to look at but it prevents the oil from degrading in sunlight. It is good to see the facial oils are available in three sizes (10ml, 30ml & 50ml). This gives you the option to try a small amount and reduce wastage or may be mix and match oils on a small scale.

I have a couple of criticisms not to do with the product but I found the website and leaflets (that came with my order) a little O.T.T with information. Normally I'm criticising lack of information but I do think sometimes too much of a good thing can have the opposite effect and confuse people. Perhaps I stand alone in this opinion but the leaflets were unnecessary to me as they repeated information readily available at point of sale. The website shows the Aromatherapeutic Ingredients in English and INCI further down the page. I think it would be nice to see the two combined as there were discrepancies and in order to avoid any confusion as this product contains nut oil (Sweet Almond - Prunus Amygdalis Dulcis oil).

Overall, the Infused Marigold is a pleasant product which I have enjoyed using. I find there is little to fault when it comes to facial oils. It’s all about choosing the correct blend of ingredients for your skin type. I made my decision to buy this based on my love for Calendula, however, I would not buy again as I prefer the Odylique Superfruit Concentrate.

Do you use facial oil? What are your favourite ingredients? Have you tried oils from OV Naturals?
