Review Dash Skincare Sensitive Skin Moisturiser

Dash Skincare Sensitive Skin Moisturiser
I introduced Dash Skincare on my blog in February and I took the opportunity to buy a product when I visited the Allergy Show at the beginning of July. Since writing my original blog post, Dash did update their website to include full ingredient listings.

I have been using the Sensitive Skin Moisturiser. This cream is promoted as “Gentle daily moisturiser free of allergens and essential oils”. Personally, I don't like the wording "allergen free" because any ingredient has the potential to irritate. Back in June, I had a twitter conversation with Dash in which I pointed out that I did not feel their label was appropriate. The reason I expressed concern to Dash was this product contained sesame oil which is one of the EU top fourteen food allergens. Dash responded positively and the product has been reformulated. I do note that at the time of writing this post, the website has not been updated to reflect the changes. I do have the new formula (no sesame) and you will notice the label on front of bottle is incorrect.

I think the ingredients in this Dash moisturiser are ideal for sensitive skin - Chamomile, Calendula, Evening Primrose, Aloe Vera and Peach Kernel oil. You all know I love chamomile and calendula, for me it's the perfect duo. This cream has a light silky texture which I find my skin easily absorbs and gives the hydration I need. You can use both morning and evening, which is exactly how I use it. As there are no essential oils, the aroma is naturally occurring from the ingredients. I am not sure how to describe the scent, perhaps earthy. I think the chamomile may be the dominant scent and makes a change when compared to the many lavender based creams I own. Those of you that do not like sticking fingers in jars will be pleased to see the bottle has a pump dispenser.

Dash Sensitive Moisturiser is a no frills product and I certainly don’t mean that to be a negative, I think it’s good. The simple clear labels and packaging reflect the handmade nature of the product. The ingredients are honest, effective and you get your monies worth. Dash is the perfect example of why I love natural skincare. My only criticism would be lack of attention to the finer details. I like this moisturiser and would happily recommend to others.

Have you tried any products from Dash Skincare?
