Review: Louise Galvin Shampoo & Treatment Masque for Fine Hair

Louise Galvin Shampoo for Fine Hair Treatment Masque for Fine Hair
Most of you will be aware of my Holy Grail shampoo and conditioner however, before I found this routine I had experimented with many hair care brands, one of which was Louise Galvin. As my previous experience had been positive I was happy to step out of my comfort zone to use the *Louise Galvin's Shampoo and Treatment Masque for Fine Hair.

I would describe Louise Galvin as a luxury Free From brand. Products are formulated without silcone, SLS, petrochemicals, synthetic fragrance and polymers. I do have fine hair but I am fortunate to not experience thinning so it gives the illusion of thickness. When it comes to selecting haircare, I do not seek to add volume. I simply wish to protect my colour and watch out for products that weigh my hair down. This is where the Louise Galvin shampoo is proving to be effective. I am suitably impressed that after 3 weeks of using the shampoo my hair has shine, bounce and no greasy roots. Since this product does not contain SLS it is low foaming, something I am used to but worth keeping in mind if you are new to the world of natural and free from products. The Louise Galvin shampoo has a gorgeous citrus scent which for some reason reminds me of jaffa cakes.

Moving onto the Treatment Masque, this can be used as a twice weekly intensive treatment or a daily conditioner. Personally, I don’t have time to be lounging around with a hair mask on so have preferred using as regular conditioner. As this is formulated for fine hair, it doesn’t have a thick consistency but this is perfect for me because it doesn’t weigh down my hair. I am washing every other day as per usual and in combination with the shampoo my hair is left feeling wonderful.

As a side note to my long time readers, yes I took a punt on these products given that I usually avoid citrus. I should explain that avoiding orange was a self diagnosis but the results of the Dermatologist tests conflicted with this showing Linalool might be the real problem. Both of these Louise Galvin products contain essential oil allergens but since they are wash off products I can cope better with them.

As you can tell from my review, I think Louise Galvin Shampoo and Treatment Masque for Fine Hair are great products which I would happily recommend. Both can be purchased from HQ Hair.

Have you tried products from the Louise Galvin range? How did you get on with them?
