I've been introduced to Annwyn Botanicals through the Free From Skincare Awards 2020. Annwyn have picked up two medals - Gold in Face Care Wash Off for the Exfoliating Cleanser with Papaya, Soft Citrus & Herb and Bronze in Body Care Leave On for the Sensitive Skin Moisturising Cream Fragrance Free. Tester feedback was very complimentary for both products.

Lets me fill you in on a little background information for this natural skincare brand. Annwyn Botanicals give consideration to the environment when it comes to their packaging and ingredients. Products are lovingly handmade and inspired by the North York Moors. Where possible they responsibly source local herbs and essential oils and also use Fairly Traded Women’s Cooperatives from around the world. Many of their products are suitable for Vegans. Packing is recyclable amber glass and sustainably produced biopolymer bottles. I was kindly sent Hydrating Hand & Body Lotion with A Hint of Patchouli, Natural Body & Hand Wash with a Hint of Patchouli, Exfoliating Cleanser with Papaya, Soft Citrus & Herb but the stand out product for me is the Sensitive Skin Moisturising Cream (Fragrance Free).

Review: Annwyn Botanicals Sensitive Skin Moisturising Cream Fragrance Free
This moisturising cream has a light whipped texture which is a pleasure to use. It feels hydrating on my dry skin but comfortably sinks in and soothes without leaving a heavy or sticky sensation. What I enjoy most is the multi purpose aspect of this product because it is suitable for face and body. The formulation uses ingredients which are nourishing with borage, peach kernel, rosehip, shea butter, chia seed, sunflower and pomegranate. As the name suggests Annwwn Sensitive Skin Moisturising Cream is free from fragrance which eliminates any worries concerning essential oil allergens. You may be aware that I avoid linalool so I will always champion products which are formulated with customers like me in mind. It is often a struggle to find decent allergen free products at a reasonable price but I think Annwyn meets this requirement.

The Tester feedback from Free From Skincare Awards 2020 is spot on and I agree with their comments - “Absorbs really well … you can feel it working … A lovely light cream, instantly calming on dry skin, and any particularly itchy areas … Provided relief and an instant moisture injection which I really liked … One of the best creams I’ve used in terms of dry skin relief and completely delivered over the course of the month”

Annwyn Botanicals have a handy "especially for sensitive skin" section on their website which avoids the need for customers to trawl the entire product range. We've all been there trying to find what we need quickly and loosing patience with poorly designed sites. I'd also like to mention that the lotion and wash with a hint of patchouli are formulated with essential oils that do not contain naturally occurring allergens. Once again I commend brands that create products to accommodate a variety of consumer needs. It's not easy to cater for everyone so I appreciate Annwyn's consideration towards people with allergies.

I am happy to recommend Annwyn Botanicals, in particular the Sensitive Skin Moisturising Cream (Fragrance Free). If you would like to explore more of their products or gather further information on the ones mentioned here, please visit the website - www.annwynbotanicals.co.uk
