Purely Natural Eczema Cleanser

Purely Natural Eczema Cleanser

I volunteered to test *Purely Natural Eczema Cleanser.  The company was started in 2011 by owner Dean who suffered from severe acne.  Products are handmade, 100% natural and not tested on animals. I have to say this is one of the more unusual cleansers I have sampled.  When it arrived the Boyfriend asked me why I would want to clean my face with Play-Doh.  I am more inclined to describe it as cookie dough and I have seen other bloggers make the same comparison.

Those of you that haven’t already seen reviews are probably sitting here scratching your head wondering how on earth you use the cleanser.  Simple answer is break a piece off and mix with water in palm of hand to create a paste.  As you can imagine this can be a little tricky and messy.  Once you have the desired consistency massage on skin and remove with water.  I have been using a damp cloth to remove the cleanser as splashing water across my face is far too messy for my liking. They make it look so easy in the adverts on TV.

Now I don’t have eczema on my face but I do have a patch on my body.  I have given the cleanser a whirl on these patches and it does not cause any problems.  The mixture is not always smooth depending on any natural particles in the cleanser. This could be irritating on extremely damaged eczema so I would advise caution.  Sadly, I have not notice any improvements to my eczema.

Overall, this is a basic and affordable cleanser with good ingredients (walnut oil, sunflower oil, argan oil, beeswax, Vitamin E oil, Jojoba oil & jasmine oil).  If I am completely honest the novelty factor wore off and I have not been using regularly. I couldn’t get the knack of mixing into my desired consistency.  I don’t have the patience and have other basic cleansers which I prefer. Certainly don’t dismiss the brand. I can see the benefits for those with problematic skins and there are good reviews on other blogs.

There are other products available aside from cleansers so it is worth having a browse of the website if you suffer from eczema, rosacea, psoriasis or acne.

  1. Nice review Sarah, shame you didn't see any improvement in your eczema though. I'm not so keen on products where you have to mix themselves, I too find them a bit messy, which makes me not want to use them.

Lol at splashing water on your face on TV, they make it look easy but what they don't show is the absolutely soaked bathroom behind them ;)

    1. After I wrote about water splashing it dawned on me that the wall behind would get really wet. Those ads are really silly lol. Maybe with time this had the potential to improve my skin but I just don't have the patience for it. Shame really as the Company is very good in terms of ingredients policy.
