Review: Opulentia Organics Body Oils

review Opulentia Organics Body Oils

Opulentia Organics approached me to review because they were interested to hear of my allergies, eczema and love of natural products. I accepted an offer to try their body oils and received Untouched and Lavender & Chamomile.

Sally, the founder of Opulentia, was diagnosed with cancer in 2006 and whilst having chemotherapy found that her skin became dry and itchy. In her quest to find a body oil to help she “was horrified to discover all the synthetic chemicals and potentially harmful ingredients that were in the so called 'natural and organic' skin care products on the market, so started to blend my own.”

The Untouched oil is a blend of vegetable oils without essential oils making it an ideal product for those with allergies. Sally says “It is great for those undergoing chemotherapy as even if you are not normally allergic to anything, your skin seems to react differently when you are having treatment, and many people find their skin gets really dry and itchy.”

Both oils are a pleasure to use. The unscented version is nice for when skin is feeling sensitive and the Lavender & Chamomile is equally as soothing but nice to apply at bedtime because of the relaxing aromas. I like the packaging of the oil. The pump ensures that I do not make too much mess. I am a little lazy with applying this to my entire body but I like to use it to keep my legs in good condition. I always feel my legs are the driest area of my body probably due to shaving. These oils do sink into skin but as expected it does take a few seconds longer compared to a lotion. You can apply whenever suits you but I enjoy using after a shower.

I think it is difficult to find fault with these products. I like Opulentia's philosophy and will always favour those with awareness for sensitive skin and allergies. The oils are also available in Geranium & Mandarin, Bergamot & Patchouli and Ylang Ylang & Lime. I think prices are reasonable with a 100ml bottle priced at £13.99-£14.99 and 50ml travel size at £7.99-£8.99

Do you like to use natural body oils or do you prefer lotions?

  1. Hello Sarah,
It sounds and look like a great product! I don't use body oil at the moment but I really would like to start using them again. I love the packaging and the little pump very useful..I always find with oil to use too much of it and most get wasted to this is a brilliant idea :)
Will definitely add Opulentia on my list of products to try!

    1. A pump does make it easier than having to pour from a bottle. I hope you get to try these and if you do, I look forward to hearing how you get on with them :)

  2. This does sound amazing! I like the pump and definitely love the lavender/ chamomile scent.
My niece suffers a lot from eczema and my mum battled cancer as well, so these products sound like the perfect thing to use!

    1. Lavender & Chamomile is also a form favourite with me. Sorry to hear about your niece & mum. These oils have been formulated with them in mind so I think you would all find them beneficial :)

  3. I like body oils, but I do find myself reaching for lotions more often. These sound lovely though and the pump looks super convenient!

  5. I like using Earth Mama Angel Baby lotions. They absorb quickly and don't leave you feeling sticky (I live in Atlanta, stickiness of any sort is not welcome.) I like body oils too, but more-so in winter (although I am using an EMAB stretch oil on my stomach at the moment.) These oils look so lovely! x

    1. I think because my skin is super dry I don't find oils sticky but I can understand why you would prefer more for the winter :)

  6. That is a good price for a great quality body oil. I've been loving my Neom body oil recently, but oh-my, is it pricey! x

    1. Sadly I can't try the mandarin one due to my allergy to citrus fruits but I can imagine it is just as lovely as the ones I reviewed here :)
