Review Odylique 3 In 1 Maca Mask
You all know Odylique is a brand I heavily rely upon and a number of their products are part of my daily routine. They recently launched a 3 in 1 Maca Mask and I’ve had the opportunity to put it to the test. I should probably explain that face masks are not a regular part of my routine. I tend to use them before special occasions (like the run up to my wedding last year) but I have to be 100% confident with the brand as I’ve experienced a number of reactions to masks over my lifetime.

Odylique’s 3 in 1 Maca Mask contains green and white mineral clay, maca root, baobab fruit, oat, sugar cane, mint and myrtle essential oils. It comes in powder form so you can mix with water or any other liquid of your choosing depending on your skin type. For sensitive skin yoghurt or coconut milk is a suggestion but I opted for my favourite manuka floral water. When the mask is applied the sensation felt is a combination of a slight tingle and cooling (I’d guess that would be from the mint).

Powder masks can sometimes be a little tricky to mix. I have a tendency to put too much liquid into them. You want to achieve a paste rather than runny soup. The trick is to add a little amount of liquid gradually, stirring as you go until you get the desired consistency. Once you’ve managed that, simply apply to the face then sit back and relax for 15 – 20 minutes. When you are finished I’ve found the easiest way to remove any mask is to hold a damp flannel to your face to loosen the clay, then use circular movements to gently exfoliate and that helps clean the product from your face. If you have sensitive skin I would recommend not allowing the face mask to dry completely as it often makes removing a little tough. You work harder to clean the skin and I find that’s when my sensitive skin can become “angry”. Rubbing too hard even with a soft damp flannel can be a little too aggressive.

My final thoughts for the Odylique 3 in 1 Maca Mask are I am enjoying using it every so often and I find that after use my skin feels refreshed. Anyone who loves face masks is sure to like this product. Add to that the fact that it’s Vegan, Fairtrade and Organic which is pretty awesome.

Are you a fan of face masks? Have you tried the Odylique 3 in 1 Maca Mask?
