Review: Alucia Organics Certified Organic Deep Cleansing Balm Fragrance Free

Review Alucia Organics Certified Organic Deep Cleansing Balm Fragrance Free
Fragrance free products are a huge part of my life, it might be dull not to have scent but it keeps my skin happy. Any company which offers a fragrance free version of their range is going to get a high five from me. Essential oils are beautiful and beneficial to some but they can be problematic to those with very sensitive skin. Lavender was my hero for many years before skin tests which revealed linalool could be triggering my eczema.

I’ve been testing the fragrance free Alucia Organics Organic Deep Cleansing Balm (scented version is available). This is a beautiful buttery balm which melts quickly with the warmth of my skin. It feels deliciously smooth and I enjoy the luxury of massaging onto my face and removing with a warm flannel. Whilst there is no added fragrance this balm does have a natural scent from the ingredients of sweet almond oil, shea butter, calendula, chamomile and rosemary.

In my opinion cleansing balms are the perfect way to remove makeup and dirt without stripping the skin. Everyone can benefit from them but as someone with very dry skin they are perfect for keeping my face feeling soft and hydrated. The one compromise I've had to make with the Alucia Cleansing Balm is it contains beeswax. I avoid labeling myself as vegan (I quit eating meat 20+ years ago & I'm allergic to milk & eggs) but recently I lean more towards this lifestyle choice for my skincare.

Alucia Organics do carry the leaping bunny logo as well as being certified organic. Their range of products includes face oils, carrier oils, essential oils, butters and of course balms. If you are interest in checking them out, hop across to one their stockist Only Naturals.

Do you enjoy using cleansing balms? I'd love to hear if you have a favourite which is vegan and essential oil free.
